Mug Monday Episode 19: Shooting a Vlog, Part 1

 

 

Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to Mug Monday! I’m Emily Dugal, Digital Marketing Manager at RE/MAX Leading Edge! If you’ve seen Mug Monday welcome back and if it’s your first time I’m excited to share my myriad of mugs and tips with you! This week’s mug is my wisdom mug!

Welcome to Part 1 of Shooting a Vlog! There a few key elements that you’ll need before, during and after you create a vlog series and in part 1 we’ll discuss creating the concept

Creating the Concept 

First of all you have to figure out what your vlog is going to be about

  • Is it a monthly market update?
  • Does it feature local businesses and things happening in your community?
  • Is it focused on providing tips to selling and buying your home?
  • Are you a talented stager and providing tips on decluttering your house and getting it market ready?


Establish who your audience is. Do you want to keep it broad? Are you focusing on buyers? Sellers? Millennials? Empty nesters?

When creating a concept it’s a good idea to sit down and write out 10-15 ideas to make sure it’s something you can sustain long term. Decide this ahead of time! Then give it a name. Your name should me memorable and maybe it has nothing to do with what you’re talking about (like a certain blog you’re watching right now hint hint). It should be short, memorable and captivating! Lastly, Decide how often you’re going to post your content and how much you plan to spend boosting it.
