Associates raise money through the sale of homemade cookies.

Winchester, MA June 26, 2017 – RE/MAX Leading Edge, its Broker/Owners and Associates raised more than $5,400 in its inaugural Cookies for a Cause event on Thursday, June 22, 2017.  The event, held in 3 RE/MAX Leading Edge locations, Lexington, Melrose and Winchester, featured a variety of homemade cookies baked fresh by RE/MAX Leading Edge Associates.  Thirteen Associates participated in the event raising money for the local cause of their choice. Joanne Hofmann Sexeny, the top fundraiser, raised more than $700 for the Dr. Jonathan and Sunny Adler Medical/Surgical and Oncology Unit at Winchester Hospital.  RE/MAX Leading Edge matched her donation.

“We are very pleased with the results of our first Cookies for a Cause fundraiser,” said Christine George, President of Marketing and Business Development at RE/MAX Leading Edge. “Our brokerage serves dozens of communities throughout Greater Boston.  We created the event as a way to give back to those communities and support the causes that are near and dear to the hearts of our Associates.”

Cookies for a Cause also raised money for organizations like, the Alzheimer’s Association, American Breast Cancer Foundation, Animal Rescue League of Boston, Ari Schultz New Heart Medical Fund through The Greg Hill Foundation, Catholic Charities, East Coast Adoption Agency, Horace Mann Family in Need Fund, Kids Cooking Green, MSPCA, Susan G Komen New England, Veterans Northeast Outreach Center and Yoga Neighborhood.
