High-Efficiency Homes Commands a 22.7% Price Per Square Foot Premium

Buyers Value E+ Solutions Project Over Built-to-Code Project in Fort Hill Neighborhood.

Winchester, MA April 16, 2018 – RE/MAX Leading Edge Agent, Craig Foley recently represented the sale of the E+ Solutions LLC Highland St. project in the Fort Hill neighborhood of Boston.  The project, an ultra-high performance home, commanded an impressive 22.7% premium per square foot than its built-to-code competitor down the street. 

Foley, the listing Agent, is also an expert in high-performance energy solutions and has sold several high-performance projects in and around Greater Boston.  The E+ Solutions project included features like, super-insulated building enclosures, advanced mechanics for heating, cooling and hot water, and water conservation. Foley’s analysisdemonstrated that buyers are willing to pay more for a healthier, more efficient property, even at the cost of a garage, which is a highly coveted feature in the New England market, and a feature of the built-to-code project.
