We are kicking off this Monday by discussing the Difference between Facebook Ads and Facebook Boosts. You’ll need three things in order to start boosting and creating ads!
Let’s start with Facebook Ads. There are three objectives which you'll chose from when creating a Facebook ad.
You’ll create ads through the ads manager, you’ll select an. As agents I would focus on Awareness for your Brand and consideration which will help drive traffic to your website! Facebook Ads allow you to dig much deeper into your audience.
To create a boost you will start by posting to your Facebook page like a normal post. When your post has been published you a button will appear in the bottom right-hand corner that says “Boost” click that to open to dialogue box. It’ll allow you to chose an audience, time frame for the boost to run and the amount you want to spend. Boosts are less effective and there are limitations such as not being able to set placement or control the objective. They will live on your wall unlike ads which will not appear on your wall.
When it comes to choosing between Facebooks ads versus Facebook boosting, I suggest agents use boosting for blog content they create, a post on their wall about a new listing or an open house. I also always suggest that a boost is clickable! Make a boost take the person the page on your website with property details or directly to your blog.
I would use an ad to market yourself as an agent! I think ads are great for a really long term goal and invest some real money into it. If you have an Instagram account make sure it’s linked to your Facebook account! If it is then when you boost or create an ad it will show up on people’s Instagram feed as well as Facebook! The idea behind both these things is (as Katie Lance says) is to people know, like and trust you!
