Hey Everyone! It’s Christine George, President of Marketing at RE/MAX Leading Edge with offices in Boston, Cambridge and all over Greater Boston. Welcome to Episode 23 of Real Estate Marketing!
Ever ask yourself how to distinguish yourself from the competition or what you can do differently to stand out? Today, in part 4 of “How to Differentiate Yourself” we’re talking about frequency and consistency.
Did you know, a customer needs to see or hear your message 7 times before they decide to work with you? 7 TIMES!!
That means you need to be in front of your customers frequently and consistently. Frequent and consistent messaging builds awareness of your brand and familiarity and trust with new and potential customers.
Frequency is all about getting in front of your customers on a regular basis. Once you decide on your content, schedule it weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Create a task in your task app and hold yourself to it!
Consistency is all about keeping yourself accountable to the schedule you’ve laid out. Posting once a week or twice a month and then going dark for 3 months is not going to cut it. Consistent posts 2,3 4 times a week or once a month depending on your platform will get you the most traction. And don’t worry about being a nuisance. When you provide valuable content on a regular basis, your fan base will come to expect it and look forward to your posts.
This is a long-term play. Like building any relationship, it takes time and patience. I tell agents, the marketing strategies that return the greatest ROI, take 18-24 months to yield results, and it’s easy to get discouraged but stick with it and you’ll see, when they’re ready to make a move, you’re the first one they’ll call.
That’s it for me today.
