Are you shy in front of the camera (selfies excluded!)?
Does the mere thought of a video of yourself give you hives?
You’ve most likely seen some agents in our market take advantage of this newly accessible medium. You know, the expressive type…the ‘hams’ in our business. Some have leveraged it quite successfully.
Check out the latest statistics on YouTube…namely 6 BILLION hours of video are viewed on YouTube every month, yet only 9% of small businesses actually take advantage of this platform! Facebook recently revealed that it sees 8 BILLION average daily video views, which is up 4 billion eight months prior!
Not to mention, video is working for real estate. 85% of buyers and sellers want to work with an agent who uses video.
Yes you can! Like any new habit we take on in our business, it’s often best to start small, incrementally; until we are comfortable and can move forward.
Have you considered recording a voice-over video? A video that shows a powerpoint slide or infographic with your voice as the audio - explaining and commenting on the subject matter? Perfect for short-form updates or longer form ON DEMAND webinars…take a look!
It’s easy…I promise! If you own a Mac, simply open your QuickTime player and click “Create a Screen Recording”. Make sure your internal microphone is operational and you’re ready to record!
For PC users, there are a number of apps you can use - google “Screen recording for PC”. I’m told Camtasia is one of the better apps.
Next month, we’ll show you more applications for voice-over videos that will save you hours of your time but also build relationships with new buyer and seller clients!
