Real Estate Marketing, Episode 24: How to Differentiate Yourself, Part 5

Hey Everyone!  It’s Christine George, President of Marketing at RE/MAX Leading Edge with offices in Boston, Cambridge and all over Greater Boston. Welcome to Episode 24 of Real Estate Marketing!

Our last four episodes have been focused on differentiation and today we’re finalizing our conversation around differentiation and I’m excited to share with you part 5 of “How to Differentiate Yourself”!

Probably the most efficient but the least obvious way to be different is to be yourself!  You are unique, and the truth is, there simply is no one else like you so let your personality shine through.

The first thing you want to do is deliver your content in a format that fits.  I like to encourage everyone to do video because it’s the format that gets the most traction on a digital media platform but video is not for everyone. Blogging might be your preferred platform or perhaps you shine in one-to-one, face-to-face meetings.  Find the platform that resonates and lean into it.

Once you have a platform, lean into your personality.  If you’re analytical, use stats to bring insights and solutions to buyers and sellers. If you’re witty, use humor to relate to your clients.  If you have a knack for design, give your clients tips on design trends, remodeling ideas and staging for sale.  Your objective is to build relationships.

Whether you’re doing video, writing a blog, hosting a webinar or presenting a CMA, deliver your message in a way that is authentically you.  What you’ll find is that you’ll attract people who WANT to do business with you and chances are, you’ll want to do business with them too.

That’s it for me today.  As always, if you like our Real Estate Marketing vlog, we’d LOVE it if you’d like, comment and share it, check us out at leadingedgeagents.com or like us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn.  Thanks so much everyone, enjoy the rest of your day and we’ll see on the next episode of Real Estate Marketing.
