Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to Mug Monday! I’m Emily Dugal, Digital Marketing Manager at RE/MAX Leading Edge! If you’ve seen Mug Monday welcome back and if it’s your first time I’m excited to share my myriad of mugs and digital marketing tips with you! Today’s mug is my Little Miss Fun mug!
Today I’m going to talk about something a little different. I’ve recently done a lof of Mug Mondays on shooting vlogs and writing vlog scripts. Planning your vlog and writing your script to help everything go smoothly. This vlog I’m telling you to actually save your bloopers and screw ups! In my last vlog about script writing I was dog sitting a 5 month old puppy. In the middle of one of my tips he came over and messed me up. So I just recorded him for a minute and added it as a blooper. My tip is to actually save some of these “funny” mess ups. Maybe even act on them a little more.
Why Would I Show People My Bloopers?
Now I know what you are thinking? Why would I do that? Think about your favorite sitcom. Have you ever seen a blooper reel from them? FRIENDS is my favorite shows ever and I love watching the bloopers. Not only are they hilarious but it makes you feel more connected to the show.
So why not compile some of your favorite bloopers and send them to your video editor to string together? It will make you seem more relatable to your SOI as well as showing you have a sense of humor and you’re human. Sue Pinky Benson shares her funny bloopers and I think they are a great addition to her content and make her so relatable and someone you’d want to be around.
When to Use Bloopers as Content
You don’t need to show your bloopers every week or month but maybe a mid year bloopers reel or a close of the year collection. Either way have fun with it and laugh at yourself. I guarantee that mess up you were embarrassed about seems a lot funnier a few months later looking back.
